Hello!

Hello, hello. I'm such a rubbish poster. I've finished uni (touch wood) and I've been doing loads of overtime at work so I get as many pennies as possible.

However, I won't keep those pennies long if I keep shopping all the time. I've been buying new summery clothes because I can't live in black/navy leggings and long tops all summer long, so I've added some dresses and wait for it... white and baby blue leggings to my collection! Honestly, I have so many pairs.

I've also added some loooovely polishes to my collection, much to my mother's dismay. I keep sneaking the odd one in... I'm so in love with the colour on my toenails right now. I've never seen a brighter pink.

Neon pink is amazing. I decided to save some pennies by purchasing 'Punki Pink' by Nina from Sally wholesalers instead of the neon China Glaze of which the name escapes me. Not bad for around £2.65.. I would post a photo but who really wants to see a photo of my gross, square toes? (My boyfriend teases me about them ): )

Anyway, I promise I will post something relatively interesting soon! I've got the morning off on Thursday so I'll get snapping and typing.

Glossybox April 2012

Loving the April Glossybox right now!
I'm a big fan of the whole natural and organic theme of the box, and I can say I like 4 out of 5 products, but number one must be the Figs and Rouge balm because it smells divine and is a million times better than Vaseline.

Caudalie SOS Thirst Quenching serum, which for me just didn't live up to the hype I've been reading about. It's just a smooth, hydrating gel that seems to soak in pretty quick, but that's about it. Also, there was pretty much nothing in the tube so it didn't last long at all. Yes, it's nice, but it's not that special. Sorry :(

This is the product that I really disliked this month. It's Kai perfume oil, which is extremely floral scented, just like lily or gardenia. I tried it on my wrist as soon as I opened the box but I immediately regretted that. On me, the scent was so strong and I couldn't get the smell off my skin fast enough. I smelt like a florist. :( Sadly, this won't be used by me, which seems like a waste but I'm sure someone else will enjoy it.

As I mentioned above, this is numero uno this month! I received 'Rambling Rose' which is great because I loooooove rose scented things. The fact that this contains no petroleum is a massive tick for me, as I find Vaseline and other petroleum based lip products too greasy and it just does not absorb. However, this little beauty has been going everywhere with me and constantly on my lips. My only gripe is that it melts quite quickly if it's in your pocket (or tucked in my bra at work) so it's gone all over the inside of the lid. That's my fault though. I can safely say I will be repurchasing this baby when I run out. 10 billion stars out of 10.

I really like receiving shower gels in boxes and as samples, because my mum buys the same boring ones over and over again. It's nice to have 'my' shower gels and this is lovely. I'm still working my way through a massive "Foam Call" by Soap and Glory so this is being saved for when I've finished that. Sandalwood is a lovely scent so I'm happy I received this one. I'm allergic to eating coconut so I'm not sure what my skin would do with a coconut shower gel.

Inika eye pencil in 'Coco'- This pencil is lovely to use and the formula is sooo creamy. It's much better when used on the eyelid rather than the waterline, which is fine because I normally use a brown above my lashes anyway because black looks a bit harsh. I'm glad I received the coco brown shade because I really wouldn't suit purple and I already own a metallic turquoise. The colour is really dark so I put a very small amount on and smudge until it's blended.

Overall, I'm really pleased with this months Glossybox and really like 3 out of 5 products.

Do you subscribe? If so, which product did you like best?

Nails Inc 'Midas Touch' Colour Collection

I know I should be doing uni work right now, but I was far too excited to not post lovely snaps of my lovely new polishes. Whilst perusing the cosmetics section in my local TK Maxx, I came across a complete bargain. Nails Inc polishes retail for £11 each, but I paid a grand sum of £14.99...for all four!
I couldn't resist, and despite owning too many nail varnishes already, I had to have them.

Warning: photo-heavy post! (but they're so pretty!)

Colour Collection boxset.
Left to Right: Wardour Mews, New Burlington Place, New Kings Road and Regent's Park Road.

Regent's Park Road
Turquoise blue with tiny green-golden shimmery flecks. I am in love. The base is a very bright blue, which I wasn't expecting. I thought it would be a darker blue but it's so vibrant and shimmery and looks mermaid-y :)

 New King's Road
No, this isn't a black polish as I first thought before I got it out of the box. It's a very very deep indigo blue with golden flecks again. This one isn't duochrome-y but it's still very pretty and makes an alternative to black nails that might look a bit harsh. This is definitely a party polish with a bit of glitter on top.

 Wardour Mews

I think Wardour Mews is my favourite of the four. It's a sheer purple base with golden-bronze flecks. I put this on as soon as I could because it's just so lovely. With a few coats, the base builds up and the bronzey shimmer really comes out.

New Burlington Place

New Burlington Place is a lovely pink and bronze duochrome polish, with a shimmery finish. After swatching and comparing, I have realised it's almost identical to Accessorize's 'Pink Spice', so it looks like they've duped it from Nails Inc. I find the formula is quite thin so it needs 3-4 coats to become opaque, especially at the tips. As much as I love duochrome colours, the bronze pink isn't my favourite, but I like it all the same.

Bottles with flash.

I have to say, my absolute favourite polish from this collection is Wardour Mews, purely because its sheer purple base and muted golden shimmer is really easy to wear and goes with pretty much everything. I'll definitely get use out of all four and I think 'Regent's Park Road' will get used on my toes rather than my fingers.

Have you had any bargains recently?
